Overview of Bidirectional Sync

Bidirectional sync is the sync pattern where the current and future appointments are synced between Outlook and Sales. It’s the default sync pattern for appointments.

During synchronization, all appointments that users share from Outlook with Sales are categorized as Shared with Oracle. This category means that a copy of the appointment has been created in Sales. Depending on your configuration of appointment sync, when a user updates or deletes an appointment in Sales, the changes are synced to Outlook, and vice versa.

Important: Any appointment that's not included in the default saved search criteria set by the user or the administrator is never synced.
