Overview of Creating Content

To be able to upload presentations to the Sales Lightbox content library, you first create them and then save them to your hard drive.

Lightbox supports these file types:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint: The content library supports the Open XML file format (.pptx 2007). If you install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack, and save a presentation in the Open XML format (.pptx 2007), then those presentations are fully compatible with Sales Lightbox.

  • PDF: You can upload .pdf files and share them with other users. However, you can't open .pdf files in Lightbox or add them to the cart.

  • Microsites: These are collections of html and supporting files, saved in a .zip compressed file type. For more information about this content type, see the topics, Using Microsites in the Lightbox Content Library and Creating and Uploading a Microsite .Zip File: Procedure.

  • Image files: The image file types .jpg and .png are supported for upload and sharing as distinct pieces of content.
