Purge Redundant Sales Insight Facts

Use the Purge Redundant Sales Insight Facts scheduled process to purge the redundant facts that became old or irrelevant for the Sales Insights.

Here are prerequisites to help ensure that this scheduled process contains the required information:
  • Enable adaptive search to use sales insights:
    1. Go to Navigator > Setup and Maintenance
      • Offering: Sales
      • Functional Area: Sales Foundation
      • Task: Configure Adaptive Search
    2. Click Setup.
    3. Click Advanced.
    4. Select Enabled for Engagement Level of Account.
    5. Select Enabled for Activity Effectiveness of Opportunity.

When to Use

This scheduled process:

  • Is part of the Sales Insights feature and is expected to run at least once in a month for the desired results.

  • Have no dependencies with other processes.

  • Helps to prevent unwanted facts piling up.

Privileges Required

Verify that you have the following privileges:

  • ZCA_SALES_INSIGHTS_JOB_PRIV

  • FUSION_APPS_CRM_ESS_APPID

Verify that you have the following roles:

  • Sales Administrator

  • Run this scheduled process on regular intervals, for example, every month.

Execution Time:

  • Less than a minute to process one data record.

  • Less than 2 minutes to process 200K records.

  • This scheduled process is like a background activity. Hence no notification is displayed on completion. But the process completion status can be monitored in the Scheduled Process page.

  • This scheduled process is idempotent and hence a failed process doesn't affect the future run of the scheduled process. No cleanup is required before restart.
