How You Manage Organization Type Field

You can define and manage classification categories using the Manage Classification Categories. You can create and manage classification code for the classification categories and manage the hierarchy of the classification codes. In this topic we discuss how to manage the Organization Type field.

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the following:

    • Offering: Sales

    • Functional Area: Accounts and Contacts

    • Task: Manage Classification Categories

  2. Search for the classification category ORGANIZATION_TYPE and select it.

  3. Click Action > Edit.

  4. On the edit page, you can edit an existing classification code or create a classification code. Do the following steps:

    • Do the following to add an existing classification code:

      1. Select a node as the parent tree, if any node exists, and click Actions > Add. Else, click simply Actions > Add.

      2. Select Specific Value and select a data source to select one node. Else, select Values from referenced hierarchy to select a tree.

      3. Specify the tree node details.

      4. Click OK.

    • Do the following to create a classification code:

      1. Select a node as the parent, if any node exists, and click Actions > Create. Else, simply click Actions > Create.

      2. Click Next.

      3. Specify the classification code name, classification code meaning, and classification code description.

  5. Click Save and Close.
