Set Up Read-Only Contract User

Here are the steps you can use to set up a read-only contract user after creating a new user and associating him to a resource organization:

  1. Sign in as a user with Security Console access.

  2. From the Navigator, select Tools > Security Console.

  3. From the Roles subtab, click Create Role.

  4. On the Create Role: Basic Information page, perform these steps:

    1. Enter the role name.

    2. Enter the role code.

    3. Select Common - Job Roles from the Role Category drop-down list.

    4. Optionally, enter the description.

    5. Click Next.

  5. On the Create Role: Function Security Policies page, perform these steps:

    1. Click Add Function Security Policy.

    2. In the Add Function Security Policy page, search and select the Enable Sell Intent privilege.

    3. Click Add Privilege to Role.

    4. Search and select the Enable Buy Intent privilege and click Add Privilege to Role.

    5. Click Next.

  6. On the Create Role: Data Security Policies page, optionally, you can set your data security policies according to your requirements and click Next.

  7. On the Create Role: Role Hierarchy page, perform these steps:

    1. Click Add Role.

    2. On the Add Role Membership page, search and select Contract Search and View Access with the ORA_OKC_CONTRACT_SEARCH_VIEW_DUTY code.

    3. Click Add Role Membership.

    4. Click Next.

  8. On the Create Role: Users page, perform these steps:

    1. Click Add User.

    2. In the Add User page, search and select a user.

    3. Click Add User to Role.

    4. Click Next.

  9. On the Create Role: Summary page, review your changes.

  10. Click Save and Close.
