How can I reduce the number of revenue lines generated for forecasting purposes?
Recurring revenue line items can be aggregated into a single line item with a single close date for forecasted recurring revenue. This means that you can view pipeline forecasts using a single opportunity close date and reduces complexity while maintaining performance.
By setting the profile option, Recurring Revenue Forecast Type
(ORA_MOO_REV_RECUR_FORECAST), you can control whether to:
- Forecast revenue lines based on every single schedule occurrence (default)
- Aggregate multiple recurring revenues lines to a single close date (Opportunity
Close Date).
This means that only a single revenue line is required to calculate the total value for pipeline forecasts.
