Assign Billing Types to Billing Categories

In this section, you'll learn how to assign billing types to billing categories.

There are four predefined billing types in Service Logistics: Material, Consumable, Labor, and Expense. You can create your own billing types using the lookup EGP_MATERIAL_BILLING_TYPE.

The billing category decides which SACs and items are displayed in the Manage Debrief and Charges page through the billing type assigned to the items and SACs. There are four nonextensible billing categories predefined in Service Logistics: Labor, Expense, Fixed Charge, and Material. Note that you can't create your own billing categories.

To assign billing types to the billing categories:

  1. Click Setup and Maintenance, then in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering, click Service Logistics, and then click Manage Billing Types.

  2. On the Manage Billing Types page, select the billing type and then select a billing category to assign it to.

  3. You can click the Add icon (Plus icon), to add another billing type.
