Used as a filter in the Manage Part Requirements page.

Used to default the FS Tech inventory organization in the Add Part window when parts are added to a work order before a field technician has been assigned to the Fusion Service work order. The default destination inventory organization is entered for each work area in the Tag column of the lookup.

OFSC Work Areas

We're using the work area lookup when setting a value for the profile Default Parent Resource Name. The value from this profile is used to assign a parent node when creating technician and truck resources in OFSC. The lookup code should be equal to the External ID in OFSC. The parent resource must already exist. It isn't possible to create a resource without a parent through REST services.

Work Area is another type of resource in OFSC. The resource type has the role Bucket. The resource name is passed to the Fusion Service work order and is stored on the work order (must match the work area lookup meaning in Service Logistics).

The following table shows the predefined document types that you can use and the tag information you'll need for your custom document types. These tags decide where your custom lookups appear within Service Logistics.
