Add Project Details to Work Orders

To associate a project with service work orders and third-party work orders, select the Project-Driven Supply Chain feature in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering in Setup and Maintenance.

The charges from the work order debrief lines for work orders with associated projects are posted to the Projects application as project expenditures.

The charges for work orders that don't have any project associated are posted as costs to the maintenance work orders.

To associate project details to your work order:

  1. Go to the Manage Charges and Estimates page.

  2. Query your work order. You can add project details to service work orders (Oracle Field Service Cloud and Generic) and third-party work orders.

  3. Expand the Project Details region in the work order header area.

  4. You can now add the following project attributes to the work order:

    • Project Number

    • Task Number

    • Expenditure Item Date

    • Expenditure Type

Note: The Expenditure Organization is a read-only attribute and defaults to the debrief maintenance work order organization.
  5. Other than the key attributes mentioned before, any other attributes that are defined in the Projects setup are also visible in this region

Note: The Project Details region is only visible when you opt in to the Project-Driven Supply Chain feature and complete the required integration setups with Oracle Projects.
