Search for Work Order Charges

You can use the Work Order Charges search page to search for charges associated with field service work orders and third-party work orders.

You can’t search for work orders that don’t have charges.

Work Order Charges page

Prerequisite: To use the elastic search on the Work Order Charges search page, you might need to confirm that the ESS job to create index definition and perform initial ingest to OSCS has been run with the following input parameter: fa-fscm-wocharges
Note: You only need to run this job once when you first set up and configure the environment.

The Work Order Charges search page includes the:

  • Search bar

  • Filter Chips suggestions bar

  • Magnifying Glass icon

  • Charges results table

Note: Technicians will only see the work order charges assigned to them.

The search bar opens with filter chips, which you can add or delete depending on your search needs. The selectable filter chips include:

  • Work Order Area (LOV: Filters by the work area on the Fusion Service work order that’s associated with the charges. It doesn’t apply to third-party work order charges).

  • Debrief Status (LOV)

  • Work Order Resolution Due Date (range)

  • Work Order Status (LOV: Filters by the status of the Fusion Service work order that’s associated with the charges. It doesn’t apply to third-party work order charges).

  • Work Order Requested Date (range)

  • Work Order Scheduled Date (range)

By default, the search page lists searches for charges associated with field service work orders and third-party work orders using the following criteria:

  • Work area: No default

  • Debrief status: New

  • Resolution date: No default

You can also enter free text, which will search the following charges and work order attributes:

  • Customer

  • Technician

  • Item

  • Asset Number

  • Document Number

  • Service Request Number

  • Serial Number

  • Work Order Type

  • Purchase Order Number

  • Customer Account

  • Business Unit

Because the application supports autocomplete and fuzzy logic, you can partially type your search terms.

The following attributes support autocomplete:
  • Customer

  • Technician

  • Item Number

  • Serial Number

The following attributes support fuzzy logic:

  • Customer

  • Technician

Field Chips suggestion bar

The filter chips appear in the Search bar and provide suggestions for filtering your results set. For example, you might see a filter suggestion for a date range for the work order’s requested date. You can select this filter chip to filter your results.

When you select one of the filter chips in the suggestions bar, it’s added to the Search bar and filters the Charges results table.

Magnifying Glass icon

You can use the Magnifying Glass icon to filter your results based on predefined filter chips and their associated values. Specifically, the magnifying glass shows filter chips with preselected values. Some examples are:

  • Debrief status: New

  • Work Order Status: Scheduled

  • Resolution Date: This Year

Charges results table

The Charges results table lists the work order charges based on your search criteria and filters. You can also sort your results by selecting the arrows next to the column headers. When you first open the page, the work order charges are sorted by the document number.

To edit existing work order charges, you can open the Work Order Charges details page by clicking the Manage Charges icon.

To enter new charge lines, you can open the Work Order Charges header page by clicking the Create Charge button.
