Use Generative AI for Service Estimates

Use the AI-generated cover note to confirm estimate details with customers.

You can create cover letters for service estimates using generative AI assistance and send approval requests to customers by email.

The cover letter is generated by the Large Language Model (LLM) model and includes key estimate elements like the total estimated charge amount, discount value (if applicable), item/asset details, and the estimate number.

To create an estimates cover letter:

1. From the Estimates details page, click the Send Email action. This opens the Send Email drawer.

2. Enter the From, To, and Cc fields with email contact details.

3. If the generative AI is enabled, the email subject and body will automatically populate a draft text for the cover letter.

4. You can edit or refine the draft text in the email body.

5. Click the AI Assist button, to regenerate the text if needed.

6. After you've reviewed the cover letter, click Send.

   Both email addresses in the To and Cc address fields will receive a verification email that includes the generated text.
