Set Up Resource to Item Mapping (Redwood)

Search for and add resource to item mappings to associate specific organizations and resources with items.

To create the resource to item mapping:

  1. Click Setup and Maintenance, then in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering, click Service Logistics, and then click Resource to Item Mapping.

  2. You'll see the Resource to Item Mapping search page. You can use this search page to search for resource to item mapping.

    The Resource to Item Mapping page includes the:
    • Search bar
    • Filter Chips suggestion bar
    • Magnifying Glass icon
    • Resource to Item Mapping results table

    These are described in the following table:

    Search bar

    The search bar opens with filter chips, which you can add or delete depending on your search needs. The selectable filter chip is Organization.

    You can also enter free text, which will search the following attributes:

    • Resource
    • Item

    Because the application supports autocomplete and fuzzy logic, you can partially type your search terms.

    The filter chips appear in the Search bar and provide suggestions for filtering your results set. For example, you might see a filter suggestion for an organization name. You can select this filter chip to filter your results.

    When you select one of the filter chips in the suggestions bar, it’s added to the Search bar and filters the results table.

    You can use the Magnifying Glass icon to search for the attributes selected in the search bar.

    Resource to Item Mapping results table

    The Resource to Item Mapping results table lists the results based on your search criteria and filters. You can also sort your results by selecting the arrows next to the column headers.

    Review the results in the results table. The table includes the following parameters:
    • Organization
    • Organization Name
    • Resource
    • Resource Description
    • Item
    • Item Description

    From the search results, you can begin to add, edit, or delete resource to item mappings. Select the Edit or Delete icons for each row in the search results table.

    To add a resource to item mapping:
    1. Navigate to the Resource to Item Mapping search page. Here you'll see a table that lists the resource to item mappings based on the page filters.
    2. Click Add Resource to Item Mapping. This opens the Add Resource to Item Mapping drawer.
    3. Select an organization.
    4. Select a resource.

    5. Select an item.
    6. Click Add.
Note: Users assigned a job role with the Resource to Item Mapping for Charges (RCL_RESOURCE_ITEM_MAPS) privilege can access this feature.
