Set Up Return Routing Rules (Redwood)
Search for and add return routing rules.
To return create return routing rules:

Select Setup and Maintenance, then in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering, select Service Logistics, and then select Return Routing Rules.

You'll see the Return Routing Rules search page. You can use this search page to search for return routing rules.
The Return Routing Rules page includes the:- Search bar
- Filter Chips suggestion barNote: Select Filters to open a side drawer with more search parameters.
- Magnifying Glass icon
- Return Routing results table

Search bar
The search bar opens with filter chips, which you can add or delete depending on your search needs. The selectable filter chips include:-
Return Source Type (LOV)

You can also enter free text, which will search the following estimates attribute:
- Item
Because the application supports autocomplete and fuzzy logic, you can partially type your search terms.
Filter Chips suggestions bar
The filter chips appear in the Search bar and provide suggestions for filtering your results set. For example, you might see a filter suggestion for a source organization. You can select this filter chip to filter your results.
When you select one of the filter chips in the suggestions bar, it’s added to the Search bar and filters the results table.
Magnifying Glass icon
You can use the Magnifying Glass icon to search for the attributes selected in the search bar.
Return Routing Rules results table
The Return Routing Rules results table lists the results based on your search criteria and filters. You can also sort your results by selecting the arrows next to the column headers.
From the search results, you can begin to add, edit, or delete new return routing rules. Select the Edit or Delete icons for each row in the search results table.
To create a return routing rule:
- Select Create Return Routing Rule. This opens the New return routing drawer.

Select a return source type:
- Select zone to create a return routing rule for customer returns.
- Select organization and subinventory to create a rule for all field service returns.

If you selected organization and subinventory, enter the source organization and source subinventory. These fields are enabled only for this return source type. The list of values includes inventory organizations and subinventories with a stocking location type of field technician.

If you selected zone, select the applicable zone. This field is enabled only when the return source type is zone.

Select the return type: defective, excess, or supplier warranty.

Optionally, select an item catalog and item category to filter the item list of values if you're going to set up return routing rules for specific items. You can create return routing rules at just the item category level.

Optionally, select an item.

Select the destination organization.

Select the destination subinventory.

Indicate whether this rule should be enabled by activating the Enabled option.
- Select Create.
