Review SAP Evaluation - Task

Based on the institution's configuration for exceptions to the automated SAP evaluation process, Student Financial Planning creates a Review SAP Evaluation task if configured criteria have been met to require manual review.

Overview

If SAP is manually reviewed through a Review SAP Evaluation task, you can review all SAP information, including the inputs used to determine SAP results, and update Student Financial Planning to reflect the appropriate SAP status.

Upon completion of the SAP evaluation, Student Financial Planning sends an Outbound Message to communicate the outcome of the manual SAP evaluation.

If necessary you can request additional documentation (see Request Documents ) to complete the task. While documents associated with the SAP Evaluation Process are Pending the Review SAP Evaluation task is placed on hold and removed from the manual task queue. Once all requested documents are received, the manual task will be re-created for user review.

Required Role Permissions

The user must have a role with the following General Permission(s) and Document Permission(s) through Roles Management in order to complete the manual processing steps listed below.

  • Student
  • SAP Review Task (General Permission)
  • SAP Related Documents (Document Permission)

Manual Processing Steps

Log into the Student Financial Planning User Interface (UI)

  1. Enter the student's external student ID number in the search field located in the upper right-hand corner
    • Navigate to Student Record > SAP Information
    • Review the results of previous SAP evaluations for Academic Year 1, Payment Period 1 and 2
    • Review any other information required to complete the SAP evaluation
  2. Navigate to Dashboard > Review SAP Evaluation task queue
    • Claim Task
  3. Start Task
  4. Confirm the SAP Status, Update the SAP status or Override the SAP calculation
  5. Choose a new status if relevant
  6. Navigate to Student > Student Record > SAP Information and confirm update
