Update The Manual SAP Indicator

Student Financial Planning consumes the SAFI message which contains a Manual SAP Indicator and a value of True or False and displays it in the Student Financial Planning User Interface, but you can override the indicator if necessary.

Overview

If you Override the Manual SAP Indicator, Student Financial Planning uses the manually updated value upon completion of future SAP evaluations and when determining whether or not to create a Review SAP Evaluation task.

Required Role Permissions

The user must have a role with the following General Permission(s) through Roles Management in order to complete the manual processing steps listed below.

• Student
• Updating Manual SAP Indicator

Manual Processing Steps

Log into the Student Financial Planning User Interface (UI)

1. Enter the student's External Student ID Number in the Search Field
   • Navigate to Student Record > SAP Information
2. Click the student name/student id link to expand the Student Header.
3. Click the Override Manual SAP Indicator link.
4. Select a status from the list of values.
5. Click Save.
6. Confirm the new Manual SAP Indicator status is displayed.

You can Override the Manual SAP Indicator from any screen in the Student Financial Planning User Interface as the button is in the student header.

If the Manual SAP Indicator is updated to YES, Student Financial Planning will create a Review SAP Evaluation task for all future SAP evaluations.
