1Scope of this playbook

This playbook describes how Oracle Student Financial Aid (SFA) uses Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) data to determine which verification documents to request and how verification-related codes are cleared.

The playbook covers independent and dependent students assigned to these US Department of Education (ED) verification tracking groups:

  • V1: Standard Verification Tracking Group
  • V4: Custom Verification Tracking Group
  • V5: Aggregate Verification Tracking Group

Unless otherwise noted, the rules in this playbook apply to 2025–2026 and later award years supported by the latest SFA baseline configuration. When a requirement or SFA behavior differs by award year, the applicable award year is identified with that rule.
