Rapid Implementation for Oracle Student Management Cloud

Use the Rapid Implementation process to quickly upload setup data using spreadsheets. Rapid implementation minimizes the overall time and effort for your implementation by avoiding intense data entry and helps manage complex data structures and internal dependencies.

The Rapid Implementation tasks for Student Management are located in the Setup and Maintenance work area, Student Management offering.

You can use rapid implementation during initial implementation, and after implementation, for ongoing maintenance, such as bulk data loads and updates of setup data. Rapid Implementation loads are re-runnable where different processing options were implemented based on functional need for each business object.

Student Records Rapid Implementation Tasks

Here are the rapid implementation tasks for Student Records.

Academic Structures:

  • Create Academic Structures in Spreadsheet.

  • Create Academic Periods in Spreadsheet.

Curriculum Structures:

Prerequisites and Rapid Implementation Steps

The internal and external dependencies for each Rapid Implementation spreadsheet are documented in the Instructions tab. For Student Financials, you must complete the setup on the Manage Academic Business Unit page before proceeding with the Rapid Implementation process.

Here are the high-level steps for rapid implementation:

  • Download a spreadsheet.

  • Review the instructions in the spreadsheet.

  • Enter the setup data in the spreadsheet.

  • Generate a zipped file.

  • Use the Rapid Implementation process to upload the setup data (zipped file).

  • Check the Schedule Process log file for errors.

The spreadsheets are macro-enabled and contain instructions for entering data. The spreadsheets also include built-in validations that run before generating the zipped file that's used to load data into the database.

To upload the data, click Navigator > Scheduled Processes and run the Run Rapid Implementation For Higher Education job. After the process runs successfully, confirm the data by navigating to the corresponding UI setup task for which you entered data and reviewing it.

Use the Instructions tab of a spreadsheet to complete these tasks:

  • Review detailed information about the specific task, including the particular dependencies, and the steps in the Rapid Implementation process.

  • Use the Sample Data template to understand how to enter data in the various tabs of your spreadsheet.

  • Use the Generate Extract button to generate the zipped file.

Create and Upload Tasks

In some areas, the Rapid Implementation process involves multiple create tasks and one related upload task. In the upload task, you must upload all zipped files that are generated by the create tasks. You must upload the files in a particular order.
