Enable Access to Reference Data

To create a sponsorship, you need to have access to the reference data your institution uses.

An administrator is likely the one who creates a sponsorship agreement. You need to make sure that the administrator has access to the reference data your institution uses.

1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, use the Manage Data Access Set Data Access for Users task.

   • Offering: Student Management

   • Functional Area: Users and Security

2. Check whether the user has data access:

   1. Click Users with Data Access.

   2. Provide either the user name or the role, then click Search.

      If your user has data access, the results show the user with the appropriate role, security context (reference data set), and security context value.

3. If the user doesn't appear in the search results, then you must set up data access for the user:

   1. Click Actions > Create.

   2. In User Name, search for the user.

   3. In Role, select Bursar.

   4. In Security Context, select Reference data set.

   5. In Security Context Value, select the appropriate set ID (one that you're using).

      You would have set up your reference data when you implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.

   6. Click Save and Close.

4. Click Done.
