Overview of Oracle Student Management Cloud Implementation

Student Management is a cloud-based student information system that provides flexible and extensible business flows that enable your institution to manage traditional and continuing education programs, support student enrollment, maintain students' personal information, and manage their payments.

Oracle Financials Offering

Before you implement Student Management, you must first implement Oracle Financials. You have to set up these components in the Financials offering to enable Student Management to support processes like managing student receivables, billing, collections, and cashiering:

  • Enterprise Structures and General Ledger

  • Receivables

  • Payables

  • Payments

For information about this implementation, see "Implement Financials for Student Management" in this guide.

Student Management Offering

After implementing Financials, you can then start an implementation of Student Management. A user with the Application Implementation Consultant role (ORA_ASM_APPLICATION_IMPLEMENTATION_CONSULTANT_JOB) must opt into the offerings applicable to your business requirements. Refer to the Oracle Applications Cloud Using Functional Setup Manager guide to manage the opt-in and setup of your offerings.

Here are the primary functional areas that you can configure in the Student Management offering.
