Switch Student Programs

Switch programs for a student who wants to change from one program to another. For example, a student changes from a Biology major to a Chemistry major.

You can switch programs for a student only if the new program is the same as the existing program in these ways:

• Institution

• Program type

• Academic level

• Academic group

If a student wants to change to a program in a different academic group for example, you need to discontinue the existing group (and all programs within the group) and add the new group and program combination.

To switch programs:

1. From Student Central, click Search and search for Learners.

2. Search for the student.

3. Click Programs.

4. On the Student Programs page, select Switch Programs for the program the student wants to switch from.

5. On the Search Programs page, search for the program to switch to.

   The search returns only programs that meet the switch criteria explained previously.

6. Select the program to switch to.

7. Click Next.

8. Enter the relevant data on the Switch Programs page and click Save.
