How do I control which users can view or modify checklists and related tasks based on their roles?

You can control user access to checklists and related tasks by managing user accounts and assigning appropriate roles within the application’s access security features. This ensures each user can only view or modify what is relevant to their responsibilities.

Here’s how:

  1. Ensure the user is set up in the application.

Create or confirm the user account within the Student Information System (SIS) application.

  2. Assign the appropriate role to the user.

Use the SIS application's administrative area for user and role management to assign roles that reflect the user’s job duties. These roles determine permissions for creating, editing, or viewing checklists and related tasks.

  3. Verify role-specific permissions.

Review each user’s assigned permissions within the SIS application to ensure access is appropriate for their responsibilities. For example, users with the checklist administrator role can make changes, while others may have view-only or limited access.

  4. Periodically review and monitor access.

Regularly audit access rights to confirm ongoing alignment with organizational policy and audit requirements.

Note:
Checklist and task permissions are managed in the SIS application. Access models and permissions in SIS are separate from those managed in Oracle Fusion Security.

No additional configuration is needed to enable this control.
