Usage Revision Consolidation

Usage Revision Consolidation enables a controlled release of usage-based revenue updates from Subscription Management to Revenue Management Cloud Services. Instead of creating a new revenue contract line version each time usage is recorded or re-rated, the Send Subscription Revenue Information to Oracle Revenue Management Cloud scheduled process controls when pending usage is transmitted.

With the Send Pending Usage Details parameter, you can determine whether accumulated usage is released immediately as a new revenue line version or held until a scheduled or policy-driven release occurs. This enables you to control when usage updates are transmitted to Revenue Management Cloud Services.

As a result, the system generates fewer revenue line versions, and each version reflects business-approved release intervals instead of individual usage events. A Business Unit parameter has also been added to the scheduled process so that you can send revenue lines for specific business units that you've access to.

Manage Usage Based Revenue Updates

You can control when usage-based revenue updates are transmitted to Revenue Management Cloud Services by running the Send Subscription Revenue Information to Oracle Revenue Management Cloud scheduled process.

Using the Send Pending Usage Details parameter, you can choose whether accumulated usage should be transmitted immediately as a new revenue line version or held until a later scheduled run. This enables you to determine when usage revisions are released and helps align revenue updates with business-approved processing intervals.

You can also run the scheduled process for specific Business Units that you've access to, enabling you to control which business unit data is processed.

Running the scheduled process periodically, or after a significant amount of usage consumption has been recorded, lets you to consolidate usage updates and send them in controlled batches.
