Rate Plan Setup

  1. Create a Price List

    • Navigate to Pricing Administration > Manage Price Lists.

    • Create a new Price List and specify the Business Unit, Currency, and Effective Dates.

  2. Add Price List Items

    • Add items for subscription products.

    • Enter item details such as Item Name, Description, and UOM (Unit of Measure).

  3. Create a Rate Plan

    • Under the Price List Item, click Create Rate Plan.

    • Provide Rate Plan Name, Description, Start Date, End Date, and Currency.

    • A product can have multiple Rate Plans to support different pricing configurations.

  4. Define Rate Plan Charges

    • Under the Rate Plan, create Rate Plan Charges.

    • Select Charge Type as One-Time, Recurring, or Usage.

    • Enter charge attributes such as Pricing Basis, Calculation Type, and Charge Periodicity.

  5. Configure Pricing

    • For usage charges, select the Pricing Method as Price, Discount Percent, or Price Override.

    • Define Base Price and select the Pricing UOM.

    • For tiered or volume pricing, add multiple pricing lines with Minimum and Maximum values.

  6. Create Adjustment Matrix (if required)

    • Go to Pricing Administration > Manage Matrix Classes.

    • Create a Matrix Class and define Dimensions (for example, Call Type and Destination).

    • Add Matrix Rules with attribute combinations and corresponding Base Prices.

    • Link the Matrix Class to the Rate Plan Charge through Service Mapping.

  7. Activate the Rate Plan

    • Review the rate plan setup and validate charge lines.

    • Set the Rate Plan status to Active.

    • The Rate Plan can now be assigned to a subscription offering in Subscription Management.
