Rate Usage Readings for Assets

You can rate the usage readings captured for assets created in Oracle Asset Lifecycle Management.

To rate usage readings:

1. Navigate to Subscription Configuration > Asset Lifecycle Management > Maintain Meter Definition Templates.
2. Enter appropriate values in the mandatory fields: Name, Code, UOM, and Start Date.
3. In the Applicable Items section, associate the subscription item with the meter.
4. Create additional meters and associate with the subscription item, if required.
5. Create a subscription contract and select the subscription item with a meter as the subscription product in the contract line.
   Note: The subscription profile in the contract should have Usage Capture Mode set as Fusion.
6. Click the subscription product and navigate to the Pricing subtab.
7. Select a meter from the list of meters associated with the subscription item and enter the initial reading.
8. Activate the subscription contract.
9. To enter the meter readings, click the subscription product in the contract line and navigate to the Pricing subtab.
10. Click the Enter Readings icon, enter the reading in the New Readings field and enter the meter reading date.
11. Navigate to Scheduled Processes. Select the Acquire Subscription Usage Data from an External Web Service scheduled process and submit it.
12. The meter reading and billing amount are updated in the Billing Schedule line of the usage charge.
13. As a setup user, navigate to Scheduled Processes. Select the Send Subscription Billing Information to Receivables scheduled process.

Note: Meter readings can also be imported using Import Management.
