Overview of Segregating and Managing Project-Specific Inventory

Project-Driven Supply Chain is an end-to-end integrated solution across Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain and Manufacturing and Project Management applications. It provides the ability to execute project-specific inventory management by inventory transactions, counting, and reclassification of project-specific inventory.

When segregating and managing project-specific inventory, you can:

  • Segregate inventory by project and task in your warehouse.

  • Segregate materials in a specific location by project and task within the warehouse.

  • Automatically or manually reserve materials to a project or project task, or from common inventory, based on the values specified for the project attributes on the sales order, transfer order, or shipping request.

  • Maintain valuation of inventory by project and task.

  • Provide visibility into on-hand supplies by project and task.

  • Maintain the integrity of material ownership within a project across warehouse operations.

  • Enforce project-specific rules and policies of material management within a warehouse.

  • Perform inventory operations such as cycle counting, physical inventory, material issues and receipts, and move, for project and task specific material.
