Create Automatic Work Definitions
Use the Create Automatic Work Definitions scheduled process to mass create automatic work definitions. Automatic work definitions are created for structure name Primary with 1 operation. There isn’t a need to run Process Item Structure Changes to Work Definitions scheduled process to synchronize item structure changes to automatic work definitions. Changes to the item structure will be reflected automatically on the new work order that’s created using the automatic work definition.
When to Use
You should run the process if you need to create automatic work definitions for a large number of items. Exercise cautious in selecting the parameters to avoid creating a large volume of automatic work definitions by mistake.

Troubleshooting Information
- You can view the status of the process on the Scheduled Processes UI.
- The validation errors that prevented the creation of automatic work definitions are displayed in the output file (.txt).
- When the program is submitted, you can Resubmit, Put on Hold, Cancel Process, Release Process as provided by the Scheduled Processes UI.
