Overview of B2B Messages

Business to Business (B2B) messages exchange information among trading partners about key transactions in the supply collaboration and order-to-cash. Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration uses Oracle Collaboration Messaging Framework to better manage B2B communications with large numbers of suppliers.

For a supplier to exchange B2B messages, you must first enable the business processes in Collaboration Messaging and then using these steps you can configure the B2B messaging set up for a supplier site:

  1. In the Supply Chain Collaboration work area, select Manage Supply Collaboration Network from the task menu.

  2. Search for and select a supplier site.

  3. From the Actions menu click Edit Collaboration Configuration.

The Edit Supplier Collaboration Configuration page is displayed, with the supplier information displayed at the top of the page and the Trading Partner Assignment and Document Setup tabs. You use the Trading Partner Assignment tab to set up the trading partners that your supplier will exchange B2B messages with and the Document Setup tab to define the documents exchanged with each trading partner.

For more information about setting supplier up for B2B messaging, see Oracle Fusion Configuring and Managing B2B Messaging guide.

Using the Supply Chain Collaboration work area, the collaboration planner can:

  • View a count of the failed and undelivered messages.

  • View details of the failed and undelivered messages.

  • Contact the B2B administrator to investigate the failed and undelivered messages and reprocess them.
