Segment Groups and Criteria

Define segment groups and criteria for use in attribute-based netting sequences. Use the Manage Segment Groups and Criteria task to set up segment groups.

Define a Segment Group

  1. Click the Manage Segment Groups and Criteria task.

  2. Click the add icon.

  3. In the Create Segment Group dialog box, enter a name and description.

  4. Select a source system.

  5. Define segment granularity by selecting a dimension and level. Use either the Product or Organization dimensions to define segment groups for attribute-based planning.

  6. In the Segments section, select a catalog.

  7. Add and define segments.

  8. In the Segment Criteria section, define criteria for each segment.

    1. Click the add icon.

    2. Select a dimension.

    3. Click the edit icon in the Plan Name column. Select the plan type and plans to include.

    4. Select a measure evaluation table.

    5. Select an attribute.

    6. Select Operator, From, and To values.

  9. Save your segment group and criteria.

Associate Segment Groups with Criteria

After defining your segment group, run the Execute Segmentation process to associate segments to items based on segment criteria. Use the View Segmentation Summary task to review the results of the segmentation and association process.
