What does the status of a standard cost signify?

The status of a standard cost signifies the scope for which the standard cost is available. Status can take one of these values:

  • In Process - The cost isn't yet published and can be used within the cost scenario for planning.

  • Published - The cost is published with an effective start date and will be used to process costing transactions based on this date.

  • Excluded from Publish - The cost can't be published because it conflicts with an already published cost for the item.

  • Rejected - The published cost was rejected during processing in Cost Accounting. You can rectify this error by either defining the cost or rolling up the cost for this item in a different cost scenario with appropriate effective date.
