Configure Archiving Parameters

Before you can archive plans, you must enable the archiving options.

Note: You can create archives for demand, supply, demand and supply, and sales and operations plans. Archival isn't available in Oracle Planning Central.

To configure the archiving plan options:

  1. In a work area for Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning, open a plan and then select Edit Plan Options from the Actions menu.

  2. On the Plan Options page, Scope tab, click the Select Advanced Options button.

  3. In the Scope: Advanced Options dialog box, Archive Options section, review and make changes to the archive parameters for the plan.

    Parameter

    Description

    Enable for archiving

    Select to set parameters used to archive measure data for your plan. When selected, the archiving options are enabled.

    Archive Time Hierarchy

    Select the time hierarchy to use to archive the measure data for the plan, such as Gregorian calendar.

    For a demand plan that uses a hybrid time hierarchy, the field value is defaulted to the hybrid time hierarchy that you selected as the planning calendar and can't be changed.

    Archive Time Level

    Select the time level to archive measure data for the plan, such as day or week. The time level is based on the selection made for the archive time hierarchy.

    For a demand plan that uses a hybrid time hierarchy, the field value is defaulted to the Hybrid time level corresponding to the hybrid time hierarchy that you selected as the planning calendar and can't be changed.

    Measure Catalog for Archival

    Select the measure catalog to use for archiving.

    Note: Oracle recommends that you create a measure catalog containing only measures that provide insight to the plan's changes instead of archiving every measure in the plan.

    Do not delete archives

    Select if you don't want to delete any archives for the plan.

    Delete archives automatically

    Select to automatically delete archives when the archives are older than the Most Recent Days to Keep parameter.

    Most Recent Days to Keep

    Enter the number of days for which to retain archives. Archives older than this number of days are automatically deleted.

  4. Click Done.
