How You Create and Use Hybrid Time Hierarchies

After creating hybrid time hierarchies, you need to add them to your demand plan and configure its tables and graphs.

Here's the high-level procedure for creating and using hybrid time hierarchies:

  1. Run the Create Hybrid Time Hierarchies scheduled process for a set of calendars.
  2. Add the hybrid time hierarchies to a dimension catalog.

The log file for the scheduled process lists the names of the hybrid time hierarchies.

  3. Create a demand plan, and add the dimension catalog to the plan.
  4. Select a hybrid time hierarchy as the planning calendar.
Note: While making this selection, consider the level at which you want to generate your forecast. On the Demand tab on the Plan Options page, for the forecasting time level, you can select only a parent level of the Hybrid time level in the selected hybrid time hierarchy.
  5. Select the Hybrid time level as the planning time level.
  6. Finish configuring your plan.
  7. Run the plan.
  8. Configure the tables and graphs of the plan with the hybrid time hierarchies.

For each table or graph, add the hybrid time hierarchy that contains the parent levels to which you want to aggregate data.
