View Structure Details—New

You can view the structure details using Product Management Search, with the component details appearing in a side panel.

You can use the presence indicator appearing on the item search results to navigate to the structure. Once you navigate to the structure, you can also use the presence to further navigate to subassemblies. The other data presence indicators for components appear only if your administrator has configured them for the selected view. These indicators will allow you to view the details of the component in the side panel.

Note:
  • To use this feature, you must enable the feature Search Product Management Content Using the Redwood User Experience.

  • The structure grid is available only for the first level of the item structure.

Here's how you view structure details:
  1. In the Tasks panel drawer, click Product Management Experience > Search Products.

The Product Management Item Search Page appears.

  2. Select a view that's configured to show data presence indicators.
  3. Search for the item on which you want to view the structure details.
  4. To view the structure:

In the search results click Item Structures in the Has item structure column.

  5. To view the component details in a side panel:

In the search results, click the presence indicators. For example, to view pending changes click the indicator in the Has Pending Changes column.

You can quickly navigate to the next or previous component row details without closing the side panel using the navigation buttons displayed in the drawer region.

Structure Grid

Here are some actions you can perform from the structure grid:
  • View the basic details of the component on the header.
  • Select different views created by your administrator through Configure Views. The view can contain item operational attributes, item extensible flexfields, component level attributes, or component descriptive flexfields.
  • Apply filters on the structure (filter supports item and item description).

  • Export the selected columns and rows or all.

  • Detach the table to view in full screen mode.
  • Navigate to the classic item interface using the link on the item.
    • If you've navigated to the structure grid from the Product Development work area, the item will be displayed in Product Development.

    • If you've navigated to the structure grid from the Product Information Management or the Concept Design work area, the item will be displayed in Product Information Management.

  • Copy items to the clipboard.
  • View the total count of rows in the structure and the number of selected rows.
