How can I send partially reserved demand to an external 3PL or warehouse management system?

To send partially reserved demand to an external third party (3PL) or warehouse management system (WMS), you must first set up the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems shipping parameter.

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Shipping Parameters task:

    • Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management

    • Functional Area: Shipping

    • Task: Manage Shipping Parameters

  2. Select Partial for the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems shipping parameter.

    When you select this parameter, Oracle Shipping sends partially reserved shipping lines (from available on-hand goods) as shipment requests to your third-party logistics provider or warehouse management system.
