How You Disable PAR for Specific Items While Retaining Previous PAR Settings

Set the Replenishment Count Type to Not Planned at the item subinventory or item locator level to exclude specific items from your PAR process. When set to Not Planned, any PAR requests you submit for the item won't be considered for replenishment.

Use this option on the Manage Item Subinventories page or Manage Item Locators page to temporarily disable PAR for specific items while retaining your previously specified PAR settings. With this option, you can keep the item in the PAR location and retain the already established PAR settings and quantities.

Here’s how it works:
  • When your subinventory is locator controlled and the Replenishment Count Type for a specific item is set to Not Planned at the item subinventory level, then your item won't be considered for the PAR process regardless of the value set for the Replenishment Count Type at the item locator level.
  • When your subinventory is locator controlled and the Replenishment Count Type for a specific item is set to any value other than Not Planned at the item subinventory level and the Replenishment Count Type is set to Not Planned at the item locator level, then your item won't be considered for the PAR process.
  • When your subinventory is locator controlled and the Replenishment Count Type for a specific item is set to any value other than Not Planned at the item subinventory level and the Replenishment Count Type is set to any value other than Not Planned at the item locator level, then the item will be considered for the PAR process.
  • When the Replenishment Count Type is set to Not Planned at at either the item subinventory level or item locator level, then it overrides the Override Replenishment Count Type value when using the Item Subinventory REST resource.
