Sometimes why aren’t new items visible after creating multiple items or importing items?

Items are generated in a sequence but a few of the items are not visible because the sequence numbers were skipped. It is difficult to determine the cause of the failure. It may be because the process wasn’t completed due to server issue, it isn’t closed due to database issue, or may be the item is still under approval (that is, it is in draft state). This results in the sequence numbers not being used and you can’t reclaim those skipped numbers.

For example, when a new item is created, the new item uses the next sequence number. Let’s assume the first item isn’t approved and the new item request was cancelled or rejected, but the subsequent item was approved. Hence, one item number is skipped. It isn’t possible to identify the causes.
