What's an action log?

The action log provides an audit trail of all actions performed on the new item request.

The first entry indicates when the new item request was created and by whom. Subsequent actions will be listed to show the progress of the new item request. For example, submitted and promoted to definition.

From the Action Log, you can initiate a discussion by posting and assigning a new comment, respond to requested comments or reply to specific comments, thereby creating a threaded discussion within the context of the new item request.

Here are some additional details:

  • The Comment column in the action log table shows additional information about an action.

  • The Author column shows System when an action is performed by the application.

It shows the user name when the action is performed by a user.
Note: In OTBI, the Author column doesn't show System when an action is performed by the application.
