Create Resource Rates

When creating resource rates, you can define the associated plant, resource, cost element, expense pool, and rate. You must associate the resource rate with a cost scenario.

1. In the Cost Accounting work area, click the Manage Resource Rates task.

2. Click the Add icon.

3. On the Create Resource Rate page, select the cost scenario that you want to associate this resource rate with.

4. Select the corresponding inventory organization and the resource for which you want to define the rate.

5. In the Details region, click the Add Row icon.

6. Enter the values for Cost Element, Cost Element Type, Rate, and Expense Pool.

7. Click Save and Close.

Note: For a periodic average cost enabled cost book, you can update or delete existing resource rates only if the corresponding period for the cost scenario is in the open, pending close, or never opened status and the cost scenario is unpublished. After you publish a cost scenario, you can update the existing resource rates but can't delete them.
