Allocate Supply Through FBDI

Use file-based data import (FBDI) to manage the supply that you allocate according to quantity.

Use FBDI to efficiently upload your allocation quantities in weekly buckets. If you allocate according to quantity, then you can use FBDI to reduce the time and effort that you need to maintain that allocation.

Try it.

  1. Use the Order Promising work area or FBDI to create a rule that allocates according to quantity. Specify the allocation nodes, the rank for each node, stealing protection percentage, and so on. Do this before you upload your allocation quantities. For details, see Get Supply from a Node's Parent.
  2. Go to File-Based Data Import (FBDI) for Oracle SCM, expand Supply Chain Planning > Supply Chain Planning Planning Allocation Rules, then download the ScpPlanningAllocationRulesImportTemplate.xlsm file.
  3. Use the SupplyAllocationQuantities worksheet in the file that you just downloaded to specify the allocation quantities for your weekly bucket.
  4. Upload the FBDI worksheet that you just edited.
