Overview of Simulation Sets

Simulation sets provide a way to override key parameters coming from plan inputs. You can make these edits directly in a simulation set.

Some examples of the types of edits are item prices and lead time, and component usage and effective dates in the bill of resources. You can also save plan edits made to attribute values by copying these changes to a simulation set.

For Sales and Operations Planning, the following tables are relevant for simulation sets:

  • Aggregate Bill of Resource

  • Items

  • Resources

  • Suppliers

Additionally, you can access the Resource Availability and Supplier Capacity tables from the Resources and Suppliers tables, respectively.
