Production Scheduler (Job Role)

Individual responsible for creating and maintaining the enterprise production schedule. The Production Scheduler requires a deep understanding of the products, the manufacturing processes, and the resource capabilities and constraints. Developing efficient production schedules means balancing conflicting objectives such as carrying inventory, changeover minimization, and long production runs. Production scheduling also considers on time metrics and avoids schedule unease caused by frequent schedule changes.
