Settle Customer Claims

Here you'll learn how to settle customer claims.

After you submit a claim, it moves into the settlement pending status. These claims can now be settled using the Settle Customer Claims process. You can:

  • Identify available accruals by program
  • Associate accruals to a claim
  • Issue a credit memo on account, or a check, or a Payables default payment.

The claim analyst submits it for approval. Anything left over on the claim is automatically split to another claim. When the credit memo is issued successfully in Receivables, the details are brought back into the claim to confirm settlement.

The claim is updated to the Settled status.

If a claim fails settlement in Receivables or Payables, then the Settle Customer Claims process reopens the claim.
