Create Structures

You can create a structure by either selecting and adding existing items, or creating new items. Use the Actions and View menu on an item to create and modify the structure.

Here's how you create a structure:
  1. Open the item and navigate to the Structure tab.
  2. To add a new item in the structure, click Actions > Create.
  3. To add existing items to the structure, click Actions > Select and Add.
Note:

  • You can’t add a parent component to a child component. This applies to both preliminary structures and affected item structures on engineering and commercialization change orders.

  • You can add duplicate components to a structure using Find Number that enables you to differentiate between multiple instances of a component within a structure.
