OTBI Analytics for Project-Specific Supply Plans

Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) is a real-time, self-service reporting solution that helps you create user-defined and interactive reports. You can use OTBI reports to analyze key metrics, such as plan recommendations, order details, supply pegging, and so on.

How You Enable OTBI Reporting

To get OTBI reports, configure these setups for your project-specific plans:

  • Select the Enable for OTBI reporting option when you configure the plan options.

  • Set up reporting hierarchies by configuring the Product and Time hierarchies in the dimension catalog named Reporting Catalog. To configure the Product and Time hierarchies, use the Configure Planning Analytics task in your Supply Chain Planning work area.

Predefined and User-Defined OTBI Reports for Project-Specific Supply Planning

To get useful insights about your project-specific supply plan, you can access these predefined reports in the Supply Planning or Demand and Supply Planning work area:

Plan Recommendations Summary Graph Project Detail

This report provides plan recommendation graph for project-specific plans. You can review and analyze the recommendation type, order number, order quantity, project group, project, and task values for each recommendation in the graph.

Order Details by Item Project Detail

This report is categorized based on items, suppliers, and order types and provides supply and demand details for each item in an organization. You can review and analyze the order quantity, order value, project group, project, and task values for each order of the item in the report.

Pegging Details by End Item Project Detail

This report is categorized based on end items, customers, and order types. You can review and analyze the pegged quantity along with the project group, project, and task values for each end item. You can also review the pegging details of component items in each time bucket with their project group, project, and task values.

Build Plan by End Item Project Detail

This report is categorized based on organizations and end items. You can review and analyze the pegged quantity along with the project group, project, and task values for each end item in an organization. You can also review the pegging details of component items with their project group, project, and task values.

To create user-defined reports or analysis set, navigate to the Reports and Analytics work area. Select the Supply Chain Planning Real Time subject area and add Project, Project Group, and Task from the Order Details folder in the Data Source pane to your report. Save your user-defined report or analysis set in the path /shared folders/custom/Supply Chain Planning, to view the report or analysis set in the Supply Planning or Demand and Supply Planning work area.
