Create and Populate Sustainability Value Sets
For each attribute of an activity type, you must create a value set and then populate its values.
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Sustainability Value Sets task:
- Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management, Product Management, or Procurement
- Functional Area: Sustainability
On the Manage Sustainability Value Sets page, click the plus icon to create a value set.
- On the Create Value Set page, enter the required details. The following steps provide sample values for creating a value set for the Fuel Type attribute:
Enter a value set code. For example, FUEL_TYPE.
Optionally, enter a description.
In the Module field, enter Environmental Activities Management.
From the Validation Type drop-down list, select Independent.
Note: When creating value sets for use with the Emission Factor Map descriptive Flexfield, use only the validation types Table or Independent. If you select Independent, then ensure to populate the acceptable values in the Manage Values page.From the Value Data Type drop-down list, select Character.
In the Definition section, from the Value Subtype drop-down list, select Text.
In the Maximum Length field, enter 150.
Click Save.
On the Create Value Set page, click Manage Values.
On the Manage Values page, click the plus icon to create a value.
In the newly added row, enter the desired values. If a value exceeds the 150-character limit, then capture the extra information in the Description field. Leave the Description field blank unless it differs from the value.
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 to add more values. For example, for the Fuel Type value set, you can enter the values Gasoline, Crude Oil, and Diesel.
Click Save and Close twice to save the values and its value set.
