Create Global Warming Potentials

Oracle Fusion Cloud Sustainability uses Global Warming Potentials (GWPs) to calculate CO₂e emissions for greenhouse gases other than CO₂ that are associated with the activity types you've defined.

Before you start

To perform this procedure, you must be assigned a role to access the Manage Global Warming Potentials task.

1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Global Warming Potentials task:
   • Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management, Product Management, or Procurement
   • Functional Area: Sustainability

2. On the Global Warming Potentials page, click Add GWP.

3. In the New GWP drawer, select an emission type and optionally enter a description.

   Note: If you plan to use the CO₂ and CO₂e emission types, then ensure to set their GWP values to 1.

4. In the GWP field, enter the GWP value corresponding to the emission type.

5. Enter a start date. The default value is the system date.

6. Click Create. Or, click Create and Add Another to create more GWPs.

   The GWP is created.
