Configure Automatic Promotion and Demotion
In a change type, you can configure the automatic promotion and demotion.
The table shows whether you can configure automatic promotion and demotion based on the change order status.

Here's how you configure automatic promotion and demotion:
- 
            In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the following: - 
                  Offering: Product Management 
- 
                  Functional Area: Change Orders 
- 
                  Task: Manage Change Order Types

            Select the change type for which you want to configure the automatic promotion and demotion, and click Edit. 
- 
            Click the Workflow tab and select the workflow status (for which you want to configure the automatic promotion and demotion). 
- 
            In Promotion and Demotion policy, select whether you want to allow automatic promotion and demotion.Note: If you set the Response Required From field to All, and you add a role with more than 40 members for interim approval or approval status, automatic promotion is prevented.

            Click Save.
