How can I import different revisions of an item structure
You must first import the item and its revisions, and then import the item structure.
To import the item and its revisions, use the item import template. Here are the key fields:
In the EGP_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE sheet
- Batch_id
- Item_number
- Organization Code
- Description
- Item Class Name
- Primary Unit of Measure
- Lifecycle Phase
- Engineered Item Flag: Set this to Y for an engineering item.
In the EGP_ITEM_REVISIONS_INTERFACE sheet: Enter details for each item revision in a separate row.
- Batch_id
- Item_number
- Revision: The revision number. Create a separate row for each revision.
- Effectivity_date: The effectivity date for each revision of the item. Enter this in YYYY/MM/DD format.
To import the item structure, use the item structure import template file. Here are the key fields:
In the EGP_STRUCTURES_INTERFACE sheet:
- Batch ID
- Structure Name : the structure type.
- Item Name: the parent item. Note: Enter the details of each structure is a separate row.
In the EGP_COMPONENTS_INTERFACE sheet:
- Component Item Name: The component item number.
- Structure Item Name: The parent item number.
- Item Sequence
- Start Date: The component effectivity date for each revision. This must be same as the effectivity date you enter for each item revision in the item import template.
