Troubleshoot Issues in Change Objects
The predefined roles enable you to view and manage change orders and change requests. If you've modified roles or you're unable to manage changes, here's how you troubleshoot issues:
Assign Access to Changes
Use Security Console to assign privileges required to manage change orders and change requests.
Here are the privileges that are common across change orders and change requests, and the corresponding privilege codes:

Assign Separate Access to Change Orders and Change Requests
If your business requires you to provide separate access for change orders and change requests, you can do so by assigning privileges using Security Console. For instance, you can configure users to view and edit change requests but only view change orders. You can use the Monitor Product Management Workflow Objects privilege along with the object-specific View or Manage privilege. Here's how:

If You're Unable to Add Users on Change Security Tab
Create a data security policy with a database resource named Application Object (or FND_OBJECTS). Here's how:

Sign in to Security Console.

Search for the role that you're troubleshooting. Click Actions > Edit Role.

On the edit role page, click Data Security Policies.

Click Create Data Security Policy.
In the Create Data security Policy dialog box, enter the following:

Database Resource: Search for and add the resource named EGO_ENGINEERING_CHANGES_B.

Data Set: Choose Select by instance set.

Condition Name: Select Access the item change for table EGO_ENGINEERING_TABLE for the item changes they have access to.

Click OK and click Next.

Save your changes.
If You're Unable to Search for Change Orders
Create a data security policy with a database resource named Item Change Order for Table (or EGO_ENGINEERING_CHANGES_B). Here's how:

Sign in to Security Console.

Search for the role that you're troubleshooting. Click Actions > Edit Role.

On the edit role page, click Data Security Policies.

Click Create Data Security Policy.
In the Create Data Security Policy dialog box, enter the following:

Database Resource: Search for and add the resource named FND_OBJECTS.

Data Set: Chose Select by instance set.

Condition Name: Select Access the application objects for table FND_OBJECTS for the change orders they have access to.

Paramter1: Enter EGO_ENGINEERING_CHANGES_B.

Actions: Select all the actions.

Click OK and click Next.
