How can I automatically pick release for serialized items?

To set up the application to perform automatic pick release for serialized items, you must set the System Selects Serial Numbers option to Yes on the Manage Inventory Organization Parameters page.

1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Inventory Organizations task.

   • Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management

   • Functional Area: Facilities

   • Task: Manage Inventory Organizations

2. Select the inventory organization where you're picking the item.

3. Click the Manage Organization Parameters button.

4. Click the Lot, Serial Number, and Packing Unit tab.

5. Under the Serial Number Generation section, select Yes for the System Selects Serial Numbers option.

   If the System Selects Serial Numbers option is set to No, you must enter the serial numbers when confirming the picks manually.
