View Structure Details—New
You can view the structure details using Product Management Search, with the component details appearing in a side panel.
Navigate to Tasks > Product Management Experience > Search Products and use the new interface to find and view item structures.
In the search results, you'll see a structure presence indicator (structure icon) that lets you access the item structure. On navigating to the structure, you can use additional indicators to explore subassemblies. You can choose to view the entire structure or focus on specific levels.
The item structure grid shows current effective revision of the parent item and each component. These entities of each component display values of the component's current revision - item attributes, extensible flexfields, reference designators, substitutes, and component attributes including read-through attributes from the item.
- In the Tasks panel drawer, click Product Management Experience > Search Products. The Product Management Item Search Page appears.
- Select Item from the Product Management Search drop-down list.
- Select a view that's configured to show structure data presence indicators.
- Search for the item on which you want to view the structure details.
- In the search results click the Item Structures structure icon in the Has structures column, to view the structure.
- You can sort and filter the structure based on these read-through attributes to analyze the structure without exporting to Excel.
- You can also resize or hide, columns in the structure table. However, the modification doesn't persist when you navigate away from the page.

Reference Designators and substitute components are additional attributes available in the structure grid. Use these attributes in existing views or to create new views. Select and click the data presence indicator on the reference designator and substitute component columns of a structure to view details in the side panel drawer. Separate tabs are available for reference designators and substitute components. Though global descriptive flexfields are always visible for both reference designators and substitute components in the side panel drawer, the context-sensitive descriptive flexfields aren't visible for both these entities in this release.
- View reference designators as a range, if a range indicator has been configured in Manage Items Structure Type Details page. For more details, see Configure Reference Designator Options.
- Search for the structure component based on the reference designator. However, remember to include the Reference Designator Search attribute in the views you create to search for components using the reference designator.

- Object Type = Reference Designators
- From Date = Enter a date
- To Date = You can select the current date
After this job is completed, the Enterprise Scheduler Service job to run Bulk ingest to OSCS job starts automatically. When both jobs are completed, the range indicator will show the latest selected range indicator.
If the range indicator is enabled, you can see the configuration for quantity and the reference designators with the range indicator in the reference designator tab.
- Search for the structure component based on the substitute component.
- Click the item link to navigate to the item in the classic user interface.
Side Panel View in a Structure
The side panel appears when you click the presence indicators on the rows of a structure and provides you more information about the structure (component details). You can quickly navigate to the next or previous component row details without closing the side panel using the navigation buttons displayed in the drawer region.
